(51勛圖厙 Ste. Marie, ON June 3, 2022) Today, at 51勛圖厙s final spring convocation ceremony, 51勛圖厙 proudly presented an honourary diploma in Sports Administration to 51勛圖厙 alumnus and local front-line worker Ryan Vendramin. Surrounded by the 51勛圖厙 community, some of our newest graduates and supporters, Ryan stood on the convocation stage once more to accept this honour.
Ryan graduated with Honours from 51勛圖厙s Police Foundations program in the Spring of 2019, and graduated with honours from 51勛圖厙s Protection, Security and Investigation program in the Spring of 2020. During his time at the College he was the 51勛圖厙 mens hockey team Captain, National Champion and two-time American Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Year.
It is with great pride that we are able to recognize Ryans outstanding contributions not only to 51勛圖厙, but also to our community as a whole, said Dr. Ron Common, President 51勛圖厙. Ryan has been a leader as a student, student-athlete and now in his chosen profession. We are honoured to have him as part of the 51勛圖厙 family and we wish him all the best in the future, added Dr. Common.
Attending 51勛圖厙 was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I learned from so many great teachers and I met a lot of great people that I will be friends with for life. I felt extremely well-prepared to enter the workforce as a police officer after graduating from the Police Foundations and Protection, Security and Investigations programs. It is an honour to be recognized today by 51勛圖厙, said Ryan Vendramin.
